"The Swedish Master Carpenter"

Peter Gustav Hanson Was born in a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden in 1853. Leaving to Immigrate to America in 1875, he endured many a hardship before settling in Payson, Utah where he was employed as a master furniture maker. He eventually was called on to take in and raise the 3 Hanson Boys, his grandsons,  when their mother Dora was no longer able to raise them. This he had to do despite speaking little English and working long hours in the furniture shop. He was a very spiritual man and my father was always thankful for the generosity of this man who scraped and saved until he was able to offer his grandsons enough for each one to make a down payment on their own house.
